Who am I?

My name is Vivek Pohre. I am a UI developer currently working with Yahoo Inc.(India) , Bangalore. I have a total of 10+ years of experience in different kinds of UI development for the web and for the desktop applications.

I started my career with a business of a DeskTopPublishing, then I moved to a job of Digital Imaging, then thankfully(wooooof) got a job in a dotcom company. After which I found javascript/dhtml becoming my second language along with Photoshop which was my oxygen.Then I moved to a bit bigger organisation called IGI where I worked on flash, DHTML, web based applications and e-learning projects. I find IGI to be my secondary teacher who helped me in doing whatever experiments I wanted to do to learn new things.

AOL Bangalore, came across when I decided to move on to a bit standardized environment to learn the professional ways of doing and knowing things.

My Hobbies:
Singing, Table Tennis, Writing Songs/poetry/shayris/ghazals, a bit of Cooking too

Jack of all trades:

I have learn many programming language while being a UI developer. But its really very difficult to hold back and stick to your own hobby when you see so many great things going on.

My grandfather used to call me jack of all trades. But I know one thing. All these little little studies always give me some inspiration while I code in such a boring and interesting language(javascript).

I write ghazals, movie songs and sometimes sing if in a very good mood.

I cannot listen to music while at work. It distracts me from the work as I start enjoying it.
